Yalta is a resort city on a Southern coast of Crimean peninsula. It is located on the place of former ancient Greek village, said to have been founded by Greek colonists who were searching for a safe shore on which to settle. It is situated on a deep bay facing the Black Sea, surrounded by mountains covered with pine forests , and warm Mediterranean climate. This is a very beautiful town with old cozy streets and population about 80 000 inhabitants. There are no airport or train station in Yalta. One can get Yalta by bus (public transport) or taxi.
